EOTI has been inspired by many great minds. I'd like to share with you, beloved reader, some of my favorite resources that will help you rise up out of your soupy broth and diffract into an organized arrangement of the sum of your constituents: onion, celery, potatoes, carrots, clams, and cream, all bound by a single point of pure consciousness. Yes, you make a fine clam chowder.

The greatest inspiration to EOTI is Duncan Trussell. His series, the Duncan Trussel Family Hour, is my favorite podcast of all time. With an unbelievably creative sense of humor, he invites guests from the furthest sectors of the multiverse to engage in the most entertaining, intellectually stimulating conversations I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Topics discussed range from comedy and meditation to music production and esoteric philosophy. My favorite thing about Duncan Trussell's podcasting style is that he allows his guests to speak their perspectives with genuine and patient understanding, sparking some very deep and fascinating dialogue. I would also highly recommend checking out his new animated show produced in collaboration with the creator of Adventure Time: The Midnight Gospel. It is especially unique because most of the cartoon's dialogue is pulled straight from some of his best podcast interviews, covering some serious philosophical concepts. It really is a masterpiece, and I can't recommend enough that you see for yourself. The Midnight Gospel is on Netflix, and you can listen to the Duncan Trussell Family Hour on Spotify, iTunes, or his official website:

Next, I'd like to reintroduce you to our old friend Hank Green from Crash Course on YouTube. Yes, that is the brother of John Green, author of The Fault in Our Stars. Honestly though, they are pretty much the same person in my mind. Anyway, I'm sure you've probably seen Crash Course before. It was always the go-to for teachers trying to explain something beyond their pay grade. Well, Crash Course also has a philosophy series! If you are looking to better understand some of the basic philosophical perspectives that exist on a wide variety of topics, this is one of the best places to look. Their production quality is top-notch and is designed to be both entertaining and engaging. You can access the Crash Course Philosophy series right here:

My next source is an amazing YouTube channel that I will never be able to pronounce out loud: "Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell." Like Crash Course, this channel's production quality is superb, using animated visuals to accompany cinematic narrations. Topics covered on the channel mainly focus on science but takes it to its quantitative limits, merging into philosophical territory. If you want to learn about String Theory, black holes, or why beauty makes us happy, then this channel is for you! You can visit them here:

This reference has had a huge influence on my personal development and motivated me to really take life into my own hands. He is Canadian psychology professor Jordan Peterson. If you’ve heard that name before, I want you to suspend whatever thoughts you may have about him until you’ve watched some of his in-class lectures. I believe Dr. Peterson is one of the upcoming most influential western thinkers of our time. His ability to articulate such complex topics into accessible understandings makes him really stand out. His expertise is in psychology but also uses philosophical teachings to coincide with the way we can improve ourselves. His lectures are highly motivational, and always make you really think. Here is his personal YouTube channel:

If you happen to be a more practical-minded folk, all of this philosophy stuff can be pretty overwhelming and seem a little pointless. If that sounds like you, I would highly recommend watching The School of Life on YouTube. This channel focuses on real world situations: relationships, emotions, and life in general. It implements philosophical concepts through a casual approach, emphasizing life-application and personal improvement. You can watch by following this link:

Best wishes to you and your soup. You have all the ingredients you need. Make your own flavor; it's going to taste better than the recipe.
